Many of the Alaskan islands are so small that they can have a close island atmosphere where you can have your own little private nooks and crannies, but there may be times when the two hours of shoreline is so small that you are still cannot get a seat without waiting for hours upon hours!
Keep in mind that these vacation areas are remote as is most of North America. That means that there are certain animals that are more abundant in Alaska that you may not be able to see elsewhere.
